英訳Social Systemsでの誤訳

Social Systems の34頁にこうある。文中の「it」は「autopoiesis」のこと。

In any event, for systems theory it is a far-reaching conceptual cut, which transfers self-reference from the level of structural formation and structural change to that of the constitution of elements.

概念的「切断」？　なんのこっちゃ、ということで原文（Soziale Systeme, 60頁）を見ると、

Jedenfalls ist für die Systemtheorie ein weitführender Schritt damit getan, den Selbstbezug von der Ebene der Strukturbildung und Strukturänderung auf die Ebene der Konstitution von Elementen zu übertragen.

とあって、「Schritt」（ステップ）を「Schnitt」（切断）と読み違えた上に、訳者も意味わかんないから「概念的」とかつけてみました、という感じのようだ。
